Transferring TCMS From Old PC To New

Please follow these steps to transfer your database from your old PC to new:

Step 1 – Download employee information from Terminal
-> Click on Devices
-> Double click on employee management
-> Click the download link
-> Select all employees
-> Check boxes for fingerprint and employee name+privilege+password
-> Click apply

Step 2 – Note down Product keys and serial number
-> Click on Devices
-> Click on Setup Fingertec Terminals
-> Note down the Product key, Activation key and Serial number
-> Note down the IP address of the terminal as well

Step 3 – Back up database files

Step 4 – Download TCMSv2 onto new computer
Click this link to download the latest TCMSv2 software

Step 5 – Install TCMSv2 onto new computer
-> Once downloaded and installed, right click TCMSv2 icon and run as administrator
-> When prompted, input the product key
-> Hit next for all the setups
-> Input company name, don’t worry about password at this stage
-> Once initial setup is complete you will be taken directly to the Setup fingertec terminal window
-> In the connection column select TCP/IP
-> Input the IP address in the IP address column
-> Select your terminal model
-> Save the information
-> Uncheck the box in the disabled column next to the product key
-> Click OK on the prompt window
-> On the activation input window, select the 2nd option and input the activation key
-> Click Apply, it will mention the process is complete
-> All the tabs will now be un-greyed

Step 6 – Restore TCMSv2 onto new computer
